Abstract

Sensory experience is an effective imagery practice to draw readers into poetic experience. The poet uses different kind of images to explain thoughts, feelings, sentiments, experiences, incidents and scenes in poetry. Akhtar Hussain Jaffery's poetry is full of all kinds of imagery. His poems contain best example of auditory imagery. He used different images to create sounds and provoke the sense of auditory of the reader. This aspect of his poetry has been discussed and analyzed in this article.
