Refund Policy

The Liberal Journal of Language & Literature Review (LJLLR) is committed to providing high-quality scholarship and publication services to its authors. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and therefore offer a fair and transparent refund policy for article processing charges (APCs).

Eligibility for Refunds:

  • Manuscript withdrawal before peer review: Authors are eligible for a full refund of their APC if they withdraw their manuscript before the peer-review process begins. This ensures that resources are not allocated to manuscripts that are not ultimately submitted for publication.
  • Editorial decision of rejection: If a manuscript is rejected after peer review, authors are eligible for a partial refund of 50% of their APC. This acknowledges the editorial effort and resources invested in reviewing the manuscript.
  • Technical errors: In the rare event of a technical error on the LJLLR platform that prevents authors from submitting or managing their manuscripts, a full refund will be issued.

Ineligibility for Refunds:

  • Manuscript withdrawal after peer review: Once the peer-review process has begun, authors are not eligible for a refund of their APC. This is because reviewers have already invested their time and expertise in evaluating the manuscript.
  • Copyright infringement: If a manuscript is found to be plagiarized or otherwise infringe on copyright, no refund will be issued.
  • Author error: Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are formatted correctly and meet the LJLLR's submission guidelines. Mistakes made by authors (e.g., incorrect file format, incomplete information) will not be grounds for a refund.

Refund Process:

To request a refund, authors should contact the LJLLR editorial office at [email protected] with a clear explanation of the reason for their request. Refunds will be processed within 30 days of receiving the request and will be issued using the same payment method used to pay the APC.
